My colleague Thom has already referred to this report on WorldCat Identities, but I’d like to highlight it as well. The report outlines progress so far, and next steps identified. As an outsider to the project, I agree with Thom; this is a great example of how RLG Programs and OCLC Research work together. Those who participated in the beta test brought a lot to the table; beta testers used their experience and creativity to vet and suggest both improvements and future directions.
Perhaps WorldCat Identities would be of interest for the RLG Roundtable at SAA? We could discuss how information about people could flow into WorldCat Identities? If you are interested, send me an email, leave a comment, or put a note on the RLG Roundtable Wiki page!
